-How to use the attachments (Explorer and Maker)
-Changing from regular blade to deep cut.  How to change a dull blade.

-Image and Cartridge Search & Filters (two powerful tools that work together to help you find exactly what you are looking for)
-Identifying Image Types (how to tell if an image is available in Cricut Access, if it’s a print and cut or just cut)

-How to use Different Kinds of Adhesives
-How to use Cricut Tools, digital.  More about manipulating images.-Learn to use Cardstock, how to select the correct settings for different paper weights.
-Let’s Create Some 3D Effects with Foam Squares
-Learn How to Customize Make It Now Projects
-Learn to Insert Shapes and use with images and layouts.
-Learn How to Save and Access Projects

Week 4:

-Visualize your Project and execute using the Canvas
-Learn How to use Adhesive Paper and how to cut it

-How to Make, Cut and Apply a Vinyl Decal

Week 1:

-Refresh information about Adhesives and Page Protectors
-Let’s Work with the Text Icon-looking more into layered fonts and when it adds to a page.
-How to Select and Change Fonts
-Learn the Difference Between Letter Spacing, and Line Spacing.
-How to ungroup, weld and attach.
-Let’s Create a Layout Using the Text Techniques Learned from Class

Week 2:

-How to Use the Alignment Tools Available
-Getting creative using other shapes
-How to Ungroup Letters, Lines and Layers
-How to slice layered objects
-Understanding Font Styles (regular, bold, italic, bold italic & writing)
-How font styles affects your project
-How to use Curved Text
-Let’s create a multi-layer card using our new text effects

Week 3:

-Working with the Upload Icon (a very powerful and Important tool)
-Uploading Vector Images (learn how to exponentially expand your creative library by learning how to upload vector files, SVG’s)
-Uploading custom words and phrases using cursive fonts.
-We’ll Import Some Popular Professional Sports SVG’s, Cut and Embellish them to take home

Week 4:

-Let’s Talk Paper, refreshment course —paper weight and cutting settings
-Advanced Cutting Tools-slice, weld, attach continue to develop this skill
-Uploading Basic Images for Cutting (learn how to upload a basic image and convert into cut lines, which parts to keep and which parts to eliminate)
-Review from previous lessons

Advanced Course

3 Weeks, Begins December 4th

Classes increase in difficulty weekly.

Class 1: Advanced Journaling
Class 2: Using Photographs, Mounting Photos
Class 3: Continue to Develop Advanced Techniques

Week 1:

-Let’s work on more advanced journaling techniques, writing long phrases with the Cricut
-Creating Difficult Layouts and projects
-Advanced Embellishment Creations-designs with multiple layers and textures
-All there is to know about working with fabric, balsa wood or foam on your Cricut Maker (We will rotate through making sure all students have the opportunity to use the Maker)

Week 2:

-Using Photographs and how to cut them with the Cricut
-Taking good pictures (for scrapbooking), how to take care of them
-Traditional and more advanced methods to mount your photos
-We’ll create a multi-level layout using multiple layers and pictures
-It’s time to play with vinyl

Week 3:

-Uploading SVG Files into your Design Space is a HUGE Opportunity — Let’s continue to develop this technique.
-Let’s review the unique techniques the different cricut’s offer
-Review of any technique from all level classes.

Class Options

We offer a variety of workshops ---although we are working on Cricut techniques we cover most topics and levels. We do require a qualifying level of experience to enroll in both intermediate and advanced workshops. An experience and supply requirement checklist is available for all classes. Please call before enrolling if you are unsure.

Affordable!

All of our workshops regardless of subject or level are priced for everyone’s budget. Most workshops are $35.00 for 2 ½ hours.

Convenient Location

Memvio currently operates out of a 3000 square foot facility, right in the middle of the very busy city of Manchester (Ballwin), MO. Our shop is set up and designed for not only greeting and helping local clients but we have a bright, fun and stimulating production center well equipped for our students and creative team members to excel.

Flexible Class Times!

Do you prefer Mornings? Evenings? Weekends? We offer a variety of class times ---working around busy schedules.

Access To Cartridges

Our instructors and team members ---Cricut cartridge library is often accessible, each instructor having a unique library ---including a lot of the latest releases and Cricut® Circle exclusives! If you want to use a particular cartridge, or you need us to help find a specific design---we will and chances are one of us has what you are looking for. If we do, you are welcome to access/use it (while at the shop).

Personal Attention

We normally have at least 2 instructors in each class so you always receive plenty of individualized attention.

Machines to Use

Upon request, you can reserve the use of one of our electronic cutters at Memvio. We have several and almost all types.
